THE challenge
Solid Starts had built a successful business around digital guides for parents, but the experience ended once a PDF was purchased. The content was static, difficult to personalize and easy to share, limiting both user retention and the business opportunity.
The challenge was to transform that content into a product parents could keep coming back to, without overwhelming them during an already stressful stage of parenting.
The design
We gradually transformed the existing app into a broader experience, turning static guides into interactive journeys that supported parents as their babies grew.
The challenge was balancing a growing amount of content with an experience that felt simple and reassuring. From daily meal guidance to introducing allergens, we progressively surfaced information when parents needed it, while building a design system that could scale with the product.
The Outcome
Over time, we evolved Solid Starts from a simple food tracker into a subscription-based product that could support parents throughout their feeding journey.
Since then, the app has reached 6M+ users worldwide and received recognition from Apple, including App of the Day and Best Apps for Parents, alongside coverage from The New York Times, The Strategist and Good Morning America.
