THE challenge
VeChain came to us with the mechanics and logic behind the ecosystem, but the product itself still needed to be defined. Understanding such a complex system was a challenge on its own.
We dedicated the first month entirely to discovery, diving into the ecosystem and working closely with stakeholders to understand the bigger picture, align on business needs, and identify our target users.
This gave us enough clarity to form our first hypotheses, define the product direction, and shape the first MVP.
the design
The product brought together several experiences: a marketplace of sustainable apps, social features, token exchange, rewards, and a governance system where the community could propose and vote on changes to the DAO.
All of this had to work for two very different audiences: people with no Web3 knowledge and experienced crypto users.
The biggest design challenge was making the ecosystem accessible enough that anyone could participate, complete sustainable actions and earn real rewards, without needing to understand the blockchain and crypto mechanics working behind the scenes.
The Outcome
VeBetterDAO launched in June 2024 at The HiVe Summit in San Francisco. Just a few months later, the ecosystem had already reached 350K users across 137 countries, with 11 sustainable dApps live on the platform.
Throughout the rest of 2024 and into 2025, we continued evolving the product, refining the experience and expanding the platform into what VeBetter is today.
Since then, the ecosystem has grown to 5M+ users, 40+ apps and 40M+ sustainable actions, turning the product we helped define into a platform operating at global scale.
