THE challenge
The project started with a clear goal: modernize Viva’s digital experience while preserving most of the existing content, structure and functionality.
Working within a large organization added another layer of complexity. Decisions had to be aligned across multiple teams and stakeholders, while close collaboration with Viva’s development team was essential to navigate the technical constraints of their existing platform.
The design
We started by refreshing the homepage, evolving its visual language and improving parts of the storytelling while keeping most of the original content intact.
The booking experience became our biggest UX opportunity. I redesigned the entire flight booking flow, improving key interactions and making one of Viva’s most important journeys clearer and easier to navigate.

Building a system that could scale
Redesigning the booking flow meant accounting for a huge number of states, fares, breakpoints and scenarios.
I built the foundations of a new design system that eventually grew to more than 40 components and hundreds of variants, giving Viva’s team a consistent foundation to continue designing and expanding the product.
The Outcome
The project resulted in a refreshed homepage, a redesigned end-to-end booking experience and a scalable design system built to support Viva beyond the scope of our work.
More importantly, we left their team with a consistent foundation they could use to continue evolving the product over time.
